Celebration Strings is a quartet in Phoenix who play music at weddings and events. We had a wonderful time at the session, and were lucky enough to use a beautiful private location for the photography. You can read more about them at their website.
When you go to the Arizona Opera or the Flagstaff Symphony, you'll hear beautiful violin solos played by Louise. Frank is the go-to pianist in Flagstaff. They're incredibly talented and teach at NAU.
Even though Katie would rather make faces at the camera, she's very photogenic! You'll find her all over the valley playing viola, teaching viola and violin, and playing with Quartet Sabaku.
Derek plays the double bass all over New Mexico and Arizona. He plays guitar quietly for hospice patients. And now he's off to the Kennedy Center to learn how to manage orchestras. Congrats Derek!
Waldir is a star in the bass world. He premieres solo bass compositions, plays in orchestras in Arizona and Brazil, and will soon be a doctor! (of music...)
I was contracted by the Arizona Opera Orchestra Musician's Association to "put a face on the musicians in the orchestra pit" during our contract negotiations in 2007-08. Bruce Hembd built a website and you can find out more about the orchestra at azooma.org.
